Fatal toxic gas accidents in Indian wells

A series of fatal accidents involving toxic gas inhalation in wells has been reported across different regions in India.

In Gaya, Bihar, four individuals died after entering an old well to repair a motor, including a father and son who attempted to rescue the first victim. In Chennai, a father and son working as plumbers died while attempting to desilt a 45-foot-deep well in the Sowcarpet area. Most recently, in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, two men died after entering a well to retrieve a fallen mobile phone.
