Titan Egypt boosts US cement exports with €10 m Alexandria silos

Titan Egypt, part of the Greece‑based TITAN Group, announced a €35 million investment programme that includes a €10 million export‑silo complex at its Alexandria plant. The new silos increase the company’s storage and logistics capacity, enabling the first 38,000‑tonne shipment of Type I/II cement to the United States in May 2026.

The firm targets annual cement exports of 300,000 tonnes by the end of 2026 and aims to reach 1.3 million tonnes by 2028, with a goal of one million tonnes by 2026 overall. Expansion plans are tied to a broader decarbonisation strategy that emphasizes alternative fuels, energy efficiency and lower‑carbon production to meet international sustainability requirements such as the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism.

Egyptian officials, including the Ministers of Investment and Foreign Trade and of Industry, praised the project as a sign of growing investor confidence and a step toward strengthening Egypt’s role as a regional industrial and logistics hub.
