Tivat military sites proposed for tourism and residential use

During the development of the Spatial-Urban Plan for Tivat, the Ministry of Defense has proposed repurposing seven former military locations. These proposals include transforming the ‘Lepetane’ barracks and the ‘Lepetane polovine’ site for tourism, featuring sports and recreational facilities.

Other proposed tourist developments include the ‘Ostrvo cvijeća’ complex and the ‘Prevlaka’ location. Additionally, the Ministry suggested residential construction near certain Tivat parcels and collective housing for the ‘Lukovića barake’ site. These suggestions are currently under consideration and have not yet been finalized as official planning solutions.

Other regional initiatives submitted during the planning process include a proposal from the Regional Waterworks for a new pipeline from Opatov to Veriga to support the Kotor water system.
