Tivat municipality launches public consultation for 2026‑2030 cultural development program

The Municipality of Tivat (Montenegro) has opened a participatory process to draft its Culture Development Program for 2026‑2030. The initiative invites residents, civil‑society organisations, cultural institutions and experts to contribute to shaping the city’s cultural agenda.

Maja Marović, a master’s graduate in art history and South‑Slavic languages, heads the working group. She announced the formation of focus groups for citizens aged 15 and above, with applications due by 10 August 2026. Participation does not require prior experience in culture, and the selection aims for balanced representation of age, local communities and interests.

In parallel, a public call for written proposals is open until 10 September 2026. Submissions may address cultural programmes, heritage protection, infrastructure, support for creators, content for youth, accessibility, and public‑private‑civil cooperation. Details are available on the municipality’s website.
