Tivat political group condemns local official's grief for Ratko Mladić
The European Alliance (ES) in Tivat has issued a statement condemning the local municipal government following remarks by Miljan Marković, the President of the Tivat Municipal Assembly. The political group criticized Marković for expressing grief over the death of Ratko Mladić, the convicted war criminal responsible for the Srebrenica genocide.
The European Alliance described the local leadership's stance as anti-civilizational and contrary to the values of Tivat, which they characterized as an anti-fascist, cosmopolitan Mediterranean city. They argued that a European Montenegro and an emancipated Tivat cannot be built upon the criminal ideology associated with Mladić. The group concluded that these actions serve as a primary reason to replace the current city administration.
