TJ PI budget proposal includes 2027 public contest

The Court of Justice of Piauí (TJ PI) has approved a budget proposal for 2027 that includes R$ 5.66 million allocated for a new public civil service examination. The plan aims to fill 25 permanent staff positions, though specific roles and requirements have not yet been disclosed.

The budget proposal, approved by the relevant commission on August 21, 2026, is part of a larger R$ 96.17 million package addressing various judicial demands. This includes salary adjustments, food and health allowances, and functional progressions. Additionally, the SINDSJUS union is advocating for the continued appointment of candidates from the 2022 contest to address vacancies in various districts.

The proposal must now undergo several administrative steps, including deliberation by the TJ PI Plenary and submission to the State Planning Secretariat. The final budget must be sent to the Legislative Assembly of Piauí by September 30 and is expected to be approved by the legislature by December 15, 2026.
