Tlapa hosts State Assembly of Indigenous Peoples and Communities
The State Assembly of Indigenous Peoples and Communities was officially installed in Tlapa de Comonfort, Guerrero. The meeting was organized as part of the process to designate representatives for indigenous and Afro-Mexican communities before the General Council and District Electoral Councils of the IEPC Guerrero.
The assembly brought together 76 municipal representatives from 43 different municipalities across the state. The event focused on strengthening political and electoral representation for the Na Savi, Náhuatl, Ñomndaa, and Me’phaa peoples, recognizing their diverse normative systems and rights.
