Indigenous rights and representation in Mexico

Overview

Indigenous communities in Mexico are engaging in processes to strengthen legal rights and political representation. In Tlaxcala, representatives from 70 indigenous communities across 19 municipalities participated in a national consultation to influence the General Law on the Rights of Indigenous and Afro-Mexican Peoples.
