Tlaxcala records lowest family‑violence complaint rate and secures six‑year gun conviction

The state of Tlaxcala posted the lowest rate of family‑violence investigation files in Mexico, with 45 cases per one million inhabitants, far below the national average of 2,792 per million, according to the Secretariado Ejecutivo del Sistema Nacional de Seguridad Pública.

In a separate case, a federal judge sentenced Humberto “N” to six years and nine months in prison, plus a fine of 200 days, for illegal possession and discharge of a military‑grade firearm in Tenancingo, Tlaxcala. The conviction resulted from a six‑month investigation by the Fiscalía General de la República’s regional unit.
