TLC singer T-Boz misses tour dates due to sickle cell crisis

TLC member Tionne Watkins, known as T-Boz, has been forced to miss several performances on the “It’s Iconic” Tour due to a sickle cell disease crisis. The tour, which includes En Vogue and Salt-N-Pepa, has seen recent absences from the singer following a hospitalization caused by complications from the condition.

During an October 9 performance, group member Chilli addressed the audience to explain the situation, stating that T-Boz is taking the necessary time to recover. Chilli noted that she would continue to perform during the tour to support her bandmate. TLC manager Bill Diggins confirmed that the singer's recovery is the group's highest priority, noting that recovery periods for such crises can vary from days to weeks.

Tionne Watkins has lived with sickle cell disease since birth and has previously shared that medical professionals once doubted her life expectancy.
