TLC T-Boz sickle cell disease It’s Iconic Tour R&B

TLC member Chilli provided an update on bandmate T-Boz during a concert at Fontainebleau Las Vegas on October 9. Chilli informed the audience that T-Boz is slowly recovering after experiencing a sickle cell disease crisis.

T-Boz, born Tionne Watkins, was previously hospitalized in August due to a sickle cell anemia flare-up, which forced her to step away from the group’s ‘It’s Iconic Tour’ alongside Salt-N-Pepa and En Vogue. Chilli stated that T-Boz is taking the necessary time to reach 100 percent health and promised to “hold it down” for her sister during her absence.

While there is currently no confirmed date for T-Boz’s return to the stage, Chilli has continued performing the group’s hits, including ‘Waterfalls’, ‘Creep’, and ‘No Scrubs’, solo.
