TMO to supply 5.5 million tons of grain in November
The Turkish Grain Board (TMO) has announced plans to supply 5.5 million tons of grain to the market in November. This initiative aims to ensure supply security in grain markets and support stability in food prices.
The agency stated that sales will continue at the prices established at the beginning of the harvest season, with no price increases implemented. Since September 1, approximately 1.5 million tons of grain have already been supplied to meet the raw material needs of various sectors across Turkey.
Stocks in licensed warehouses will remain available for free sale to individuals and organizations via the Turkish Product Specialized Exchange (TÜRİB) through Electronic Product Receipts (ELÜS). Additionally, TMO stocks will be sold to producers of flour, pasta, bulgur, biscuits, and semolina, as well as the feed industry and livestock breeders.
To increase the supply of feed raw materials, TMO is offering 1 million tons of low-quality wheat to the feed industry. Due to logistical difficulties in the Black Sea caused by regional conflict, these products are being offered with a 90-day maturity option without interest or via three credit card installments.
