TNA outlines historic stipulation for Leon Slater vs. Cedric Alexander

TNA Wrestling has detailed an unprecedented stipulation for the X-Division Championship match between Cedric Alexander and Leon Slater at the Lockdown event. The match, scheduled for Sunday, August 23, at the Credit Union 1 Arena in Chicago, will take place inside a steel cage.

If Leon Slater loses the match, his entire X-Division Championship reign will be officially erased from TNA history. This would mean the title history would record the championship passing directly from Moose to Cedric Alexander, with Slater’s tenure listed as a period of inactivity.

Should the stipulation be met, Amazing Red would be restored as the youngest X-Division Champion in company history, and Austin Aries would become the sole record holder for the longest reign in the title's history. Slater’s 298-day reign, which began after he defeated Moose at Slammiversary, would no longer be recognized.
