Tô Lâm emphasizes Party leadership and cadre development

General Secretary and President Tô Lâm has been leading several high-level meetings and ceremonies focused on Party development and cadre management in Vietnam.

In Hanoi, a ceremony was held to award Party Badges to 53 veteran members of the Hanoi Party Committee, recognizing their long-term service in honor of the 81st National Day. Tô Lâm encouraged these veterans to remain a spiritual pillar for the community and the government.

Regarding political governance, Tô Lâm met with officials managed by the Secretariat to discuss cadre planning. He emphasized that preparing a leadership team is essential for the Party's future development and must involve rigorous training, evaluation, and the ability to select the right people for the right roles. He stressed that cadre work is directly linked to the leadership capacity of the Party and the management efficiency of the State.

Additionally, the General Secretary worked with the Central Organizing Commission to review the implementation of Party resolutions. He highlighted the importance of transitioning from mere management to comprehensive governance, ensuring that power is controlled and that the quality of leadership is measured by development effectiveness and public trust. He noted that anti-corruption efforts must continue without exceptions or prohibited zones.
