Tobias Forge debuts as director with Repugnant music video

Tobias Forge, the mastermind behind the band Ghost, has made his directorial debut with a new music video for Repugnant, his former death metal project. The video features a re-recording of the song ‘Premature Burial’.

While Forge performed vocals on the original version, the new rendition features Erik Danielsson of the black metal band Watain on vocals. The project also includes former Repugnant members Gustaf Lindström, Thomas Daun, and Gottfrid Åhman.

The music video is part of the American horror anthology film ‘V/H/S/Mixtapes’, which utilizes music as a central theme. Repugnant was originally formed in the late 1990s and disbanded in 2004, though their posthumous album ‘Epitome of Darkness’ later achieved cult status. It remains unclear if this release signals a permanent return for the band.
