Revival of Repugnant by Tobias Forge

Overview

Tobias Forge, the frontman of the band Ghost, has revived his former death metal project, Repugnant. The revival features a re-recording of the song ‘Premature Burial’, originally released in 2004.

While Forge provided vocals for the original track, the new version features Erik Danielsson of the black metal band Watain on vocals. The project also includes former Repugnant members Gustaf Lindström, Thomas Daun, and Gottfrid Åhman.

The release includes a music video for which Forge has made his directorial debut. This video is part of the American horror anthology film series ‘V/H/S/Mixtapes’. It remains unclear if this activity signals a permanent return for the band, which originally disbanded in 2004.
