Tobu Department Store hosts summer food festivals in Utsunomiya and Ikebukuro

Tobu Utsunomiya Department Store is holding the "Summer National Gourmet Festival" on its 5th‑floor event plaza. The exhibition, which runs daily from 10:00 to 19:00 and closes on 11 August, showcases a selection of popular bakeries and food stalls from across Japan, including Yamagata’s bakery "Bo‑tion de Bure" offering savory breads.

At Tobu Ikebukuro Department Store, the "Okinawa Expo" runs from 6 to 11 August in the 8th‑floor exhibition area. The event highlights Okinawan cuisine and culture, with a booth by Kumesen Shuzo presenting aged awamori, the "ISLAND BLUE" whisky, and free live music celebrating the heritage of Shuri Castle.

Both festivals aim to draw shoppers to experience regional specialties and create a lively atmosphere within the department‑store venues.
