Togg T10X leads Turkish auto market despite September sales decline

The Turkish automotive market experienced a significant contraction in September 2026, with total sales falling 27.8% year-on-year to 63,736 units. Despite this downturn, electric vehicles maintained a strong presence, accounting for 23.7% of total sales, while electric and hybrid models combined represented 51.8% of the market.

Togg emerged as the monthly market leader with its T10X model, which recorded 4,237 sales. The Togg T10F also performed well, ranking fourth in monthly sales and second in the electric vehicle segment. Togg holds a 44% market share within the electric vehicle category.

Renault showed resilience in the shrinking market. While the Renault Clio leads the total sales for the first nine months of 2026 with 33,636 units, the Renault Boreal secured the second position in September with 3,220 sales. Other notable models in the monthly top rankings include the Renault Megane Sedan and the Toyota Corolla.

Looking ahead, Togg has announced plans for its B-segment compact SUV, the T6X. The company aims to begin the pre-order process in June 2027, with a target sales price of approximately 1.3 million TL, as part of a strategy to reach an annual production capacity of 100,000 units.
