Togo and Côte d'Ivoire conduct major regional debt operations
Togo has successfully raised 22 billion FCFA on the UMOA-Titres regional market through a new issuance of Treasury Bonds (OAT). While the initial target was 20 billion FCFA, high investor demand led to a total of 100.002 billion FCFA in offers, representing a coverage rate of 500.01%. The mobilized funds were allocated to the five-year bond line, which carried a fixed interest rate of 6.35%. Investors participating in the issuance included entities from Burkina Faso, Côte d'Ivoire, Mali, Senegal, Niger, and Togo.
Separately, Côte d'Ivoire has conducted a debt management operation involving the repurchase of Treasury Bonds and Bills totaling 414.93 billion FCFA. This operation involved three short-term lines with maturities of 75, 89, and 117 days, all carrying a fixed interest rate of 5.50%. Unlike the Togo issuance, all subscriptions for this operation originated from domestic investors within Côte d'Ivoire, achieving a 100% coverage rate.
