Togo annuls Baccalauréat results for three candidates due to fraud
Three candidates for the 2026 Baccalauréat II exam in Togo have had their results annulled following a disciplinary investigation by the Office du baccalauréat. The sanctions were formalized through a joint decree by the Minister of National Education, Mama Omorou, and the Minister Delegate for Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Gado Tchangbedji.
Abra Edwige Azameti was found in possession of history-geography documents hidden in a folder at Lycée Nyivémé. Two other candidates, Téyi Giovanni Lawson Avla and Abdou-Chakou Yerima, were penalized for using mobile phones during the English and physics-chemistry exams, respectively.
In addition to the annulment of their current exam session, the students are suspended for the 2026-2027 academic year and will not be eligible to sit for the Baccalauréat again until 2028.
