Togo hosts regional trade fairs to promote local production and startups
Togo is hosting several initiatives to promote local entrepreneurship and national production. In Aného, the regional ‘Made in Togo’ fair is taking place from September 3 to September 6. Organized by the Centre Togolais des Expositions et Foires (CETEF) in partnership with the Commune des Lacs 1, the event showcases various sectors including agribusiness, handicrafts, textiles, cosmetics, and gastronomy. The fair aims to connect producers and artisans with consumers and distributors to foster sustainable business partnerships.
Simultaneously, the 14th edition of the Adjafi Fair is ongoing in Lomé. As part of the event, 11 innovative projects from young entrepreneurs in fields such as new technologies, the environment, and agribusiness were presented to a jury during a pitch session. The initiative, titled ‘Place aux Startups Innovantes’, seeks to strengthen the Togolese entrepreneurial ecosystem by providing visibility, mentorship, and access to financing. Experts and bankers are participating to offer guidance on business structuring, commercial strategy, and financial certification.
