Togo launches accreditation for Approved Management Centers to support SMEs

The Togolese Ministry of Finance and Budget has officially launched the accreditation process for Approved Management Centers (Centres de Gestion Agréés, or CGA) as of September 1, 2026. This initiative is designed to strengthen support for Very Small, Small, and Medium-sized Enterprises (TPME) by providing professional assistance in accounting, administrative management, financial oversight, and tax compliance.

By establishing these accredited centers, the government aims to improve the business environment and help small businesses better structure their activities. Improved accounting organization is expected to enhance the credibility of these enterprises when dealing with financial institutions and partners.

TPMEs are a vital component of Togo's economy, representing over 80% of all businesses, contributing 40% to the national GDP, and generating approximately 60% of employment. The accreditation process seeks to address structural challenges such as financing and competitiveness that have historically hindered the sustainable development of these enterprises.
