Tokenized equities onchain volume reaches $9 billion
The volume of tokenized equities onchain has reached $9 billion, representing an 800% increase since January. The total value of tokenized stocks grew from $683.6 million to $2.399 billion during the same period, making it the second-fastest-growing category within the real-world asset (RWA) sector.
A significant surge in trading volume occurred in June and July, coinciding with the launch of Robinhood Chain and Binance’s bStocks. These platforms have integrated stock tokens into existing brokerage interfaces, reducing friction for millions of users by moving products from decentralized exchanges to established exchange front-ends.
As the RWA sector evolves, blockchain infrastructure remains a critical factor for institutional adoption. Networks such as Ethereum, Casper, and Avalanche are positioned as key players due to their liquidity, transaction finality, and suitability for enterprise-scale applications.
