TOKİ announces housing updates in Afyonkarahisar and Istanbul

The Housing Development Administration of Turkey (TOKİ) has announced several updates regarding social housing projects. In Afyonkarahisar, the lottery results for the Beyyazı district have been finalized. The lottery, conducted before a notary, determined the specific apartment blocks and numbers for 50 units, consisting of 12 3+1 type and 28 2+1 type residences. Beneficiaries can now query their results via the e-Devlet portal or the official TOKİ website.

Additionally, TOKİ is planning a large-scale rental social housing project in Istanbul. The initiative aims to provide 15,000 rental units, including 1+1, 2+1, and 3+1 options, to combat rising rent prices. Under this model, the properties will remain state-owned, and tenants will be selected via lottery. The plan targets rental rates at approximately half of the market value, with a residency period of three years. While a specific application date has not been set, the project aims to begin the first rental and delivery processes by September 2026.
