Tokyo food events feature Taiwanese castella pop‑up and multi‑vendor kitchen‑car market

BOC Japan Co. will operate a pop‑up Taiwanese castella shop, “Tai Rak Tanga,” at Senge... Station on the Tobu Skytree Line from 21 July to 27 July 2026. The stall will sell plain castella and flavored versions such as burnt‑butter‑vanilla‑sugar, chocolate, and Earl Grey, using Japanese high‑quality ingredients while preserving the original Taiwanese baking method. The brand first opened a store at Tokyu Plaza Ginza in March 2021, attracting long queues and extensive media coverage.

Separately, a six‑day kitchen‑car market will be held at Tama Central Park in Tokyo on 27–28 June (and additional dates). The event will host a rotating roster of food vendors offering items such as decorative crepes, taco‑style dishes, brown‑rice takoyaki, soft‑serve ice cream, organic pork lunch boxes, churros, and more. Several vendors have been cancelled on certain days, and the schedule may change.
