Tokyo Gendai announces program for 4th international art fair

The 4th edition of Tokyo Gendai, an international contemporary art fair, has announced its program details. The event is scheduled to take place at Pacifico Yokohama from September 11 to September 13, 2026.

Key highlights include the ‘Art Talks’ series, featuring nine panel sessions led by industry leaders discussing trends in contemporary art, architecture, and fashion. Takashi Murakami’s Kaikai Kiki Gallery (Tokyo) will host a special booth showcasing emerging artists selected by Murakami.

The fair will also feature a new video screening program titled ‘Sato Meadow,’ presenting works by artists such as Marina Abramović and Rhizomatiks on large LED screens. Additionally, a collaboration with China’s ‘PHOTOFAIRS Shanghai’ will bring four Chinese galleries to the ‘Miki Trunk’ sector, focusing on paper-based expressions.
