Tokyo Gendai international art fair opens at Pacifico Yokohama

The fourth edition of the international art fair Tokyo Gendai has opened at Pacifico Yokohama. This year’s event features 69 galleries organized into five distinct sectors, including the return of the digital media-focused ‘Tane Seed’ sector and the introduction of ‘Miki Trunk,’ a sector dedicated to works on paper and prints to increase accessibility for collectors.

In addition to gallery exhibitions, the fair includes the Hana Artist Award for emerging talent and various programming such as site-specific installations and ‘Art Talks’ featuring international curators and architects. It has been announced that starting next year, the fair will move to the Ariake GYM-EX in Tokyo and shift its schedule to November.
