Tokyo landmarks announce 2026 Christmas events

Major Tokyo landmarks have announced their holiday programming for late 2026.

Tokyo Skytree will host ‘Dream Christmas 2026’ from November 5 to December 25. The event features an illumination theme of ‘Starlight and Gold’ using approximately 400,000 lights. Highlights include an eight-meter ‘WISH UPON A STAR TREE’, the ‘STARRY DOME’ installation, and a Christmas market in the Sky Arena. The program extends to the Tembo Deck with festive decorations, short films, and musical performances, including mini-concerts and a candlelight classical concert on December 24 and 25.

Separately, the Tokyo Tower Christmas Market 2026 is scheduled to run from November 13 to December 25. Located at the plaza in front of the Tokyo Tower main entrance, the market will feature eight huts offering seasonal food and drinks such as sausages, pretzels, pasta, churros, hot wine, and hot chocolate. The event is free to enter.
