Tokyo's Nihonbashi 'ECO EDO' Summer Festival Attracts Shaved Ice Fans
Tokyo’s Nihonbashi district is hosting the "ECO EDO 日本橋 2026 ~五感で楽しむ、江戸の涼~" summer festival, which runs through August 31. The event features a shaved‑ice fair at the COREDO Muromachi Terrace large‑roofed plaza, where the newly‑opened café PORTOHAUS offers a strawberry‑shortcake shaved ice for ¥1,800. Other stalls such as "氷ヲ刻メ", "日本橋氷菓店", "フルーツカフェpomp" and "PAYSAGE" also serve a variety of chilled desserts.
From July 17 to 20, a three‑day promotion gives the first 80 visitors each day a "キラキラボンボンシール" (glittering seal). Attendees must follow the event’s Instagram account and show a repost of the event’s post to receive the randomly selected seal, with a limit of one per person. The festival aims to provide a cool, seasonal experience throughout the Nihonbashi, Yaesu and Kyōbashi areas.
