Toledo and Seville announce infrastructure and tourism funding

In Toledo, the City Council and the Provincial Council have approved a cooperation agreement to rehabilitate two sections of the city wall. The project, totaling 350,000 euros, will be funded by a 200,000 euro contribution from the Provincial Council and 150,000 euros from the City Council. The works will focus on the T9 square tower, which required shoring up following a partial collapse in June 2024, and the T10 albarrana tower, where fissures were detected in 2025.

In Seville, the Provincial Council unanimously approved 19.5 million euros in funding for tourism infrastructure and promotion projects across 44 municipalities. This initiative, titled ‘Más Sevilla Turístico’ 2026, aims to support sustainable tourism through the construction of accommodations, hostels, rural houses, and active tourism infrastructure. Additionally, the council approved 19.2 million euros for the 2026 Agrarian Employment Program to cover material acquisition costs.
