Toledo approves major rehabilitation projects for historic housing and brain‑injury care

The Toledo City Consortium has begun work on the Alamillos del Tránsito building in the historic Jewish quarter, converting the unused structure into a cohousing complex with 28 residential units and shared community spaces. The project, funded with a €400,000 grant from the Provincial Council of Toledo, aims to attract young professionals and students to the city centre and improve urban vitality.

Separately, the Provincial Council of Toledo has unanimously approved financing for a new Unit for Rehabilitation of Acquired Brain Damage (UDACE) at the San José assisted living residence. The initiative involves an investment of €14.67 million, covering building works, medical equipment and long‑term loan financing, to provide specialized care for patients with acquired brain injuries. The council also approved modest road‑improvement works on the provincial road network.
