Toledo Provincial Council launches tender for new brain injury rehabilitation unit
The Provincial Council of Toledo has opened a public tender for the construction and outfitting of a new rehabilitation unit for people with acquired brain injury. The project involves renovating Pavilion 3 of the San José Assisted Social Residence in the provincial capital, with a total budget of €14.67 million – €12.77 million allocated to building works and €1.9 million for medical and therapeutic equipment.
The tender deadline is 28 August at 14:00. The new unit will provide 40 inpatient beds split into two 20‑room blocks, an ambulatory rehabilitation service and a day‑hospital facility expected to treat 200‑400 patients annually, addressing the previous need for patients to travel outside the province for specialized care.
