Tolhuin to host 20th Mountain Bike Rally and anniversary trail run
The municipality of Tolhuin is preparing for two major sporting events as part of its upcoming anniversary celebrations. The 20th edition of the traditional Mountain Bike Rally will feature a demanding course that returns to historic routes, including El Relincho, Cerro Michi, the Laguna Negra trail, and the lakeside path toward the National Gendarmerie. Organizers expect more than 100 participants for the cycling competition, which will start and end at the Municipal Polideportivo.
Additionally, the town will host its 15th annual athletic competition during the first weekend of November. This year, the event will undergo a significant change by moving from city streets to a 15-kilometer trail run through the Cerro Michi area. The race will conclude at the summit of the hill. The competition is open to participants aged 18 and older, with prizes awarded to the top five finishers in both male and female general classifications. All participants will receive finisher medals, and hydration and fruit stations will be provided throughout the course.
