Toluca continues traffic and motorcycle enforcement operations

Authorities in Toluca are continuing traffic enforcement operations, including the ‘Moto Segura’ initiative. Jorge Alberto Ayón Monsalve, Director General of Public Security and Protection for Toluca, reported that approximately 500 motorcycles have been removed from circulation because drivers lacked the necessary documentation.

In addition to motorcycle inspections, the municipality is intensifying efforts to prevent illegal parking. Officials noted that while these operations can cause driver frustration and traffic congestion, they are necessary to improve mobility and reduce chaos caused by vehicles parked in prohibited areas. While fines are not currently being applied for parking violations, vehicles may be impounded, requiring owners to complete official procedures to recover them.
