The denial was based on an existing restraining order that Sandoval obtained against Robinson and her father on June 25, which must be addressed at a hearing scheduled for July 16. Robinson alleges Sandoval repeatedly physically and verbally abused her during their 2½‑year relationship, citing incidents such as being shoved down stairs and a violent June 3 confrontation. Sandoval’s representatives contend the court’s decision is unsurprising, noting video evidence showing Robinson punching Sandoval.

The case will be revisited at the upcoming hearing, where both parties’ competing restraining‑order requests will be considered.
