Tomasz Stańko Birthday Toast Event Scheduled in Rzeszów

Polish jazz trumpeter Tomasz Stańko, born in 1942 in Rzeszów, is being honored with a “Toast Urodzinowy” celebration on 11 July 2026. The free event will take place in the courtyard of the Lubomirski Castle (Plac Śreniawitów 3) and is organized by Estrada Rzeszowska in cooperation with the Tomasz Stańko Foundation, whose president Anna Stańko heads the artistic direction.

The program includes a main concert featuring international artists such as British trumpeter Laura Jurd, along with workshops, exhibitions, film screenings and other educational activities that explore Stańko’s legacy. The celebration follows a tradition of previous editions that have hosted notable Polish and foreign jazz musicians.
