Tomb Raider celebrates 30th anniversary with new releases and Switch 2 launches
Crystal Dynamics and Aspyr are celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Tomb Raider franchise with a series of major releases and commemorative products. A key highlight is the surprise launch of Shadow of the Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition on the Nintendo Switch 2, priced at $39.99 with a limited-time 10% discount. Additionally, the Tomb Raider: Definitive Survivor Trilogy collection, which bundles the three reboot titles, is now available on the new Nintendo console for $69.99.
To mark three decades of the series, several special editions and collaborations have been announced. These include a Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration Collector’s Edition for Nintendo Switch 2 featuring a steelcase and a replica of the Divine Source, a 4,355-piece Croft Manor construction set by Fanbrix, and a crossover comic miniseries titled G. I. JOE x Tomb Raider. The celebration also extends to The Crew Motorfest, which will feature a Tomb Raider-themed PvE experience.
Looking toward the future, developers are working on Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, a remake of the 1996 original designed to bridge the classic era with the modern Survivor trilogy.
