Tommy Hilfiger and FRGMT launch collaborative capsule collection
Tommy Hilfiger has announced a new limited-edition capsule collection in collaboration with FRGMT, the brand founded by Japanese streetwear designer Hiroshi Fujiwara. The collection aims to reinterpret the brand’s iconic 1990s “prep” style through a contemporary lens, blending American classic aesthetics with Japanese design precision.
The collaboration draws inspiration from the intersection of music, pop culture, and street scenes in cities like New York, London, and Tokyo. The collection features updated versions of classic items, including rugby shirts, button-down shirts, varsity jackets, chinos, and field jackets. It also revisits archival pieces such as the Regatta jacket, sailing polos, and duffel bags.
Design elements from FRGMT, such as lightning bolt motifs and polka dots, are integrated with a light blue reinterpretation of the Tommy flag. The collection utilizes various materials, including soft flannel, washed nylon, and heavy cotton twill, to bridge the gap between traditional collegiate style and modern streetwear.
