BRB DUX credit card annual fee jumps to R$4,800, eligibility and lounge rules tightened

The BRB DUX card, once a flagship credit product for Brazilian high‑income travelers, has undergone major changes effective in 2026. The annual fee has risen sharply from about R$1,680 to R$4,800. The previous 100 % fee‑waiver for customers spending R$30 000 a month has been reduced to a 50 % discount at R$25 000 spend, with a full waiver now requiring R$50 000. Access to the card’s worldwide VIP lounge network now demands a minimum R$10 000 in monthly purchases, up from the earlier R$5 000 threshold for the primary holder and R$3 000 for additional cards.

In response, several premium cards are being highlighted as alternatives: Itaú Personnalité Mastercard World Legend (R$4 000 fee, up to 5 points per dollar, unlimited LoungeKey access), Bradesco Aeternum Visa Infinite (R$2 112 fee, extensive DragonPass network), Sicredi Visa Infinite (R$1 200‑1 500 fee, cooperative‑based benefits), Altus (digital‑bank option, R$3 600 fee, DragonPass), and Santander Unlimited Select (R$3 600 fee, up to 4.5 points per dollar).
