Top of the Top Sopot Festival 2026 begins at Opera Leśna

The Top of the Top Sopot Festival 2026 has commenced at the Opera Leśna in Sopot. The opening night featured a tribute to the late musician Stanisław Soyka, including a performance by Kayah, who shared personal memories of her last conversation with him.

While the festival has drawn major Polish stars, the first day received mixed reactions from viewers. Some social media users criticized the vocal performances of certain artists and the inclusion of Piotr Kupicha. Additionally, presenter Izabella Krzan drew attention for making lighthearted remarks comparing Sopot to Opole.

The festival continues through August 27, featuring segments such as ‘Otwarta Scena’ and the competition for the ‘Bursztynowy Słowik’ award. Other notable events include Marcin Prokop addressing rumors regarding his absence from TVN during his appearance at the festival, and discussions surrounding legal threats made by Zenek Martyniuk following a parody by Jacek Kawalec.
