Top of the Top Sopot Festival 2026

The Top of the Top Sopot Festival 2026 was announced to take place from August 24 to 27 at the Opera Leśna in Sopot, Poland. The event, produced by Festival Group and broadcast on TVN, was expected to draw approximately 1.38 million viewers.

Upon the festival's commencement on August 24, the opening night featured two primary musical segments. The first, ‘Stanisław Soyka. Absolutnie’, served as a tribute to the late artist and included performances by Kayah, Justyna Steczkowska, Czesław Mozil, Renata Przemyk, Maciej Stuhr, Natalia Szroeder, and members of the Soyka family. During the tribute, Kayah shared a personal memory regarding her last conversation with Soyka at the festival one year prior. Nina Soyka, the granddaughter of the late musician, also performed ‘Są na tym świecie rzeczy’ alongside Katarzyna Sienkiewicz.

The second segment, ‘Top of the Pop’, featured various artists performing Polish hits, including Natasza Urbańska, Kaśka Sochacka, Dawid Kwiatkowski, Kayah, and Margaret. The evening was hosted by Dorota Wellman and Marcin Prokop, whose joint appearance drew attention following speculation regarding Prokop’s absence from ‘Dzień Dobry TVN’. Prokop used the platform to address recent rumors and officially confirm his return to broadcasting.

While the opening night featured major Polish stars, it also drew mixed reactions from viewers. Some social media users criticized the vocal performances of certain artists and the inclusion of Piotr Kupicha. Additionally, presenter Izabella Krzan drew attention for making lighthearted remarks comparing Sopot to Opole. The festival also saw discussions regarding legal threats made by Zenek Martyniuk following a parody by Jacek Kawalec.

The festival is scheduled to continue through August 27 and includes the Amber Nightingale competition, the ‘Open Stage’ segment, and scheduled performances by Agnieszka Chylińska, Blue Cafe, and Zalewski.
