Toprak Razgatlioglu faces MotoGP adaptation challenges
Toprak Razgatlioglu is navigating a transitional period in his racing career, moving from WorldSBK dominance to MotoGP. Razgatlioglu has noted that adapting to the MotoGP category has been difficult, specifically citing a lack of straight-line speed with his Yamaha M1 compared to his rivals. He highlighted that while he can recover time through aggressive braking, the bike struggles to maintain pace on straights and faces front tire temperature issues.
Following Razgatlioglu's departure to MotoGP, BMW Motorrad Motorsport is facing new challenges in the WorldSBK championship. Technical leadership at BMW indicated that the team is working to maintain the competitiveness of the M 1000 RR amidst new regulations, including fuel flow restrictions that have impacted their performance following a successful previous season.
In a separate development, Razgatlioglu will wear a custom helmet designed by the MotoGP 26 video game community during the upcoming Austrian Grand Prix. The design, created by a Swiss player, features Istanbul Park and the Turkish flag, serving as a tribute to the rider's roots.
