Toprak Razgatlioglu struggles to adapt to MotoGP with Pramac Racing
Turkish rider Toprak Razgatlioglu, a three‑time World Superbike champion, is finding his first MotoGP season difficult after moving to the Pramac Racing Yamaha team for 2026. He said the transition is "hard" and that the results he is achieving are "not enough for me," noting his current 21st place in the standings with just 12 points.
Razgatlioglu highlighted the challenge of adjusting to Michelin tyres, which differ markedly from the Pirelli tyres he used in Superbike. He explained, "With Michelin it's more difficult; I'm still learning the limit of these tyres." The rider also praised the family‑like atmosphere at Pramac, saying the team makes him feel welcomed despite the competitive pressure.
After 11 races his best finish has been 11th place at the Hungarian Grand Prix. He acknowledged the mental strain of moving from a winning role in World Superbike to a rookie position in MotoGP, but remains motivated to improve as the season progresses.
