Torino police arrest wife and partner for premeditated murder

Authorities in Torino have arrested a woman and her partner for the premeditated murder of 55-year-old Mikel Rroku. The victim, an Albanian national, was discovered in a state of advanced decomposition on July 6 in his apartment in the Le Vallette district after neighbors reported a strong odor.

Investigations by the Carabinieri and the Public Prosecutor's Office revealed that Rroku was killed on June 30, 2026. Autopsy results indicated he died from blunt force trauma to the head, specifically being struck with a hammer.

Investigators believe the motive was twofold: to allow the couple to pursue their relationship without interference and to gain control of the victim's social housing unit. The 45-year-old wife and her 52-year-old partner are currently in custody facing charges of aggravated premeditated murder.
