Toronto Area GO Transit and TTC Weekend Service Changes Due to Construction and Events

GO Transit announced extensive service adjustments for the weekend of July 24‑26, 2026. On the Lakeshore West line, trains will run every 30 minutes with a two‑minute early departure from Union Station while construction at Exhibition Station supports the Ontario Line. The Barrie line will have no train service, with GO buses replacing trains at Allandale Waterfront GO and Highway 407. The Kitchener line will see interruptions between Stratford and Mount Pleasant and between Mount Dennis and Union Station due to work on the future St. Clair–Old Weston Station and the Grand River bridge; replacement buses will serve affected stations. UP Express service will be provided by buses only, connecting Union Station and Pearson Airport terminals throughout the weekend.

Separate from the construction work, special events in Brampton, Milton, Toronto, Markham and Whitby are causing additional detours and route changes for municipal transit agencies. Brampton Transit routes 2 Main and 24 Van Kirk, Durham Region Transit routes PULSe 900 and 302, GO Transit route 94 Oshawa/Yorkdale, Milton Transit routes 2 Main and 6 Scott, and TTC routes 34 Eglinton, 63 Ossington, 64 Main, 363 Ossington overnight and 501 Queen are all affected by festivals, farmers markets and the Beaches International Jazz Festival. Detours involve temporary stops and altered street routing to accommodate road closures and event crowds.
