Winnipeg Blue Bombers clinch CFL playoff spot with 34-10 win

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers secured a spot in the CFL playoffs following a 34-10 victory over the B.C. Lions at BC Place. The win brings Winnipeg’s regular-season record to 9–9.

During the game, starting quarterback Zach Collaros left the field with an injury after a hit by B.C. defensive lineman Nathan Cherry. Backup quarterback Dru Brown entered the game and completed 11-of-11 passes for 185 yards, including two touchdown passes to Dorian Singer and Nic Demski. Brady Oliveira contributed two rushing touchdowns to the victory.

Winnipeg’s exact playoff positioning depends on the outcome of the Saskatchewan Roughriders versus Edmonton Elks game. If Saskatchewan wins, Winnipeg will take the crossover spot to play the Toronto Argonauts. If Saskatchewan loses, Winnipeg will finish third in the West Division and face the B.C. Lions in a Western Semifinal on Halloween.
