Toronto CEO and family attacked in violent Bridle Path home invasion

Three masked suspects armed with handguns and a hammer invaded a residence on Hyde Park Circle in Toronto’s affluent Bridle Path neighbourhood early on October 29. The victims, identified as MAC Group CEO David Morton, his wife Doriana Zohil-Morton, and their two adult daughters, Cristina and Maggie Zohil-Morton, were attacked after the intruders entered through a rear door.

During a struggle following demands for valuables, the suspects fired multiple shots. Morton and his two daughters sustained gunshot wounds, while his wife was struck with a hammer. Two family members suffered life-altering injuries, while the others sustained non-life-threatening wounds. All four were hospitalized.

The suspects, described as approximately 20 years old and wearing dark clothing and masks, fled the scene in a dark-coloured SUV. Toronto Police are currently conducting an investigation to determine if the family was specifically targeted or if the attackers were motivated by the neighborhood's wealth. Police have not yet confirmed if any valuables were stolen.
