Bridle Path home invasion investigation
Overview
On October 29, three masked suspects armed with handguns and a hammer invaded a residence in Toronto’s Bridle Path neighbourhood. The victims, identified as MAC Group CEO David Morton, his wife Doriana Zohil-Morton, and their two adult daughters, were attacked during a struggle for valuables. Morton and his daughters sustained gunshot wounds, while his wife was struck with a hammer. Two family members suffered life-altering injuries.
By November 1, Toronto police identified 23-year-old Daijohn Richards as a suspect in the robbery. Authorities believe Richards was accidentally shot in the shoulder by another suspect during the altercation and sought medical treatment. Richards is wanted on multiple charges, including robbery with a firearm, aggravated assault, and discharge of a firearm with intent. Police continue to search for two other suspects.
