Two locations of the Jewish‑owned Kiva’s Bagel Bar in Toronto were damaged overnight on July 26‑27, 2026. At the storefront on Yonge Street and St. Clair Avenue West, a bullet shattered the window; about 20 minutes later a second shop near Bathurst Street and Steeles Avenue West suffered a broken window but no evidence of gunfire.

No injuries were reported at either site. The Toronto Police Service’s Hate Crime Unit, together with the Integrated Gun and Gang Task Force, is investigating the incidents as suspected hate‑motivated offences. Duty Inspector Scott Bradbury said investigators are treating the attacks as hate‑motivated and have deployed additional resources. Mayor Olivia Chow condemned the attacks as “vile and unacceptable,” and Prime Minister Mark Carney and Premier Doug Ford also publicly denounced the incidents and pledged further protection for the Jewish community. Police released an image of a dark‑coloured SUV that they believe may be linked to both attacks and are asking the public for information.
