Toronto TTC announces streetcar and bus detours for August construction

The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) will detour streetcars on the 301 Queen, 501 Queen and 511 Bathurst routes overnight from 11 p.m. on August 6 until 4 a.m. on August 7 while streetcar infrastructure work is carried out. Shuttle buses will replace the affected streetcars and temporary stops will be used along Dundas, Spadina, King and Bathurst streets.

Separately, the City of Toronto is closing a section of Dundas Street West between Runnymede and St. John’s Road for crane operations at a construction site. As a result, TTC bus routes 30 High Park North, 40A/40B Junction‑Dundas West, and 340 Junction will be detoured from the morning of August 7 until 4 a.m. on August 10. Buses will follow alternate streets such as Runnymede, St. John’s Road and Dundas West, with several regular stops skipped during the detour period.
